Placrylic™ to unveil new eco artist paints, paintings & cushions at the Sustainability Show in London this weekend

Placrylic is a sustainable luxury plant paint for artists and designers that was invented by English Painter and Chemist, artist hana in 2020 that addresses the climate and health concerns modern artists are worried about. Placrylic paints are currently used by 34 artists to create sustainable luxury paintings that are also available as limited-edition organic cotton cushions and bamboo fine-art prints

Placrylic is excited to be a part of the Sustainability Show, a new shopping event for planet lovers that will help you to understand how to be more sustainable while having a great time

The Sustainability Show in Islington London is a two-day celebration of today’s forward-thinking consumer brands, inspiring new ways we can reduce our environmental impact for tomorrow. This is a new kind of show where like-minded conscious visitors can get together, research products and ideas, and ultimately change attitudes

Brands at the event include Placrylic, Wholefoods, Greenpeace, WWF, Ocean Conservation Trust, Riverford Farms, Delphis Eco and many more. The show is divided into six shopping zones making it easy for you to discover the latest sustainable ideas in Fashion, Food, Health, Beauty, Home and Garden

Placrylic’s Booth, K1, at the show, will be transformed into a mini sustainable art collection room featuring sustainable paintings, organic cotton cushions and bamboo fine art paper prints created by three placrylic artists - Vinatha Reddy, Juliet Petrarulo and Artist Hana 

Eel Migration is one of the sustainable paintings on view at the show. English painter Juliet Petrarulo used harmonious natural placrylic colours to craft a painting that at first glance draws you in with aesthetics because of its resemblance to a luxurious marble design when really it depicts an aerial perspective of intelligent eels migrating into cleaner water because of a change in ocean chemistry

The use of eco yellow placrylic paint to depict ocean toxicity in this painting is of particular interest as we can see the intelligent eel swimming through the yellow more ‘toxic’ water towards the blue hues in the painting that depict freshwater ocean

Placrylic bamboo art prints at the show are printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo, the world’s first Fine Art inkjet paper made from 90% bamboo fibres. The unique combination of sustainable bamboo fibres, soft surface texture and impressive print quality gives placrylic prints outstanding expression and soul.

The full sustainable range of placrylic paints in red, yellow, blue, black, white, green and brown will be on display. The show runs over the weekend and on the Saturday, you can expect a live demonstration of placrylic paints by inventor, English Painter and Chemist, Artist Hana
