But before you scroll down to explore our nature paints that are now available for worldwide delivery, we thought it vital to explore the benefits of using natural pigments in art

Artists use natural pigments to create beautiful works of art. They use natural pigments to create colors the way the elements create the colors we know. Artists use natural pigments to create vibrant and natural colors. The colors created by natural pigments are much more striking than those created by synthetic pigments.

Natural pigments have been used for centuries in art, and for good reason. They provide a range of colors that are vibrant and long-lasting, making them ideal for creating beautiful works of art. Additionally, natural pigments are non-toxic and environmentally friendly, making them a great choice for artists who want to reduce their impact on the environment. With natural pigments, artists can create stunning pieces without sacrificing quality or environmental sustainability.

natural pigments

Natural pigments are thought to be healthier than their synthetic counterparts. The names of natural pigments describe their origins: vermilion comes from the red cinnabar stone, ochre comes from a yellowish clay, and sienna comes from a dried soil. These pigments are non-synthetic, which is why many people believe they're healthier. Plus, artists have used natural pigments since the beginning of time. The ancient Greeks used sulfate stones to create brilliant reds. Each pigment has its own unique properties that help create a realistic and accurate representation of real life.

It is important to note that natural pigments are divided into two categories: earth pigments, which include clay, and mined pigments. Placrylic specialises in plant pigments in the second category. Plant pigments are made from one or more plant parts and can be more vibrant than synthetic colours.

The painting shown above is made in its entirety using placrylic natural pigments. What’s more fascinating is that it is made using a strict palette of Blue, Yellow, Black and Green
